Man, 58, Dies In Freak Truck Accident After Slipping From His Cabin While Reversing A Trailer At A Showground
A man has died after being run over by his own truck after he fell out of the driver’s cabin.
Brian King, 58, was reversing a large prime mover at the Woodford Showgrounds north of Brisbane around 9pm last night when he opened the door and got out of the cabin.
However, the renowned rodeo cattle donor misjudged his step and fell under the wheels of the truck, which was still moving and rolled over him.
Witnesses called paramedics and performed CPR however despite their efforts he died at the scene.
Emergency Services arrived at the Showgrounds about 9.20pm after witnesses called paramedics.

Over the last two days, the Woodford Show was held at the grounds where the BK Bucking Bulls’ owner donated some of his rodeo cattle, reported the Queensland Country Life.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said that the Workplace Health and Safety are expected to investigate for the incident.
The Forensic Crash Unit is also investigating the accident.
However, the police have said there are no suspicious circumstances to the tragic accident.
Val Reichle, the president of the Woodford Show Society has passed on condolences to Mr King’s family on behalf of the society.
The Show Society has also said they will are assisting the police with the investigations.
On Saturday night the show ended with fireworks.
