Associate Director, EHS Strategy & Transformation

Role overview

AirTrunk is recruiting an Associate Director, EHS Strategy & Transformation at its North Sydney headquarters in Australia. Reporting to the Vice President, EHS, the role develops enterprise-wide programs that strengthen leadership, culture, capability and organisational performance while supporting global growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise EHS transformation roadmap, translating strategy into practical programs with clear outcomes, governance and measurable impact; monitor delivery, risks and benefits.
• Shape the future EHS operating model, organisational capabilities and ways of working, and deliver change that lasts.
• Partner with business leaders, People & Culture and Technology to strengthen EHS leadership, succession planning and specialist capability.
• Develop the EHS digital roadmap and champion responsible use of data, AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve performance and decisions.
• Work with Development, Data Centre Operations and Governance & Assurance to embed change throughout the asset lifecycle and enable entry into new markets.
• Lead the Strategy & Transformation team, develop future capability through innovation and continuous improvement, and contribute to enterprise EHS leadership priorities.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience spanning EHS, strategy, transformation, organisational capability or complex enterprise programs, including leadership of significant change initiatives.
• A record of converting strategy into practical programs and sustaining change through design, implementation and adoption.
• Strong leadership of complex, cross-functional programs in fast-growing, fast-paced organisations.
• Understanding of modern EHS management and the contribution of leadership, culture, systems, governance and organisational capability to effective risk management.
• Experience in organisational design, operating-model transformation, leadership development or capability building, including high-performing teams.
• Commercial judgement and enterprise-wide thinking; ability to prioritise investment, challenge constructively and build trusted senior-leader relationships.
• Confidence using technology, data, digital platforms, AI and emerging technologies, with clear communication of complex issues across regions and cultures.
