Role overview

Support workplace safety at Amazon in Euclid through audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, training and associate engagement.

Responsibilities

• Implement safety programs using performance data and preventive improvements; lead daily audits, incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Deliver safety training, coach associates and work with frontline employees and leadership to strengthen safe working practices.
• Review safety information and communicate findings to influence improvements while supporting efficient operations.

Required qualifications

• High school qualification or equivalent.
• One year in an EHS-related field, OR an EHS-relevant bachelor’s degree, OR six months in an Amazon safety role.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910; professional Microsoft Word and Excel experience; ability to protect confidential security and personnel information.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally safety-related.
• Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment and customer focus; team leadership, accident-data analysis and job hazard/safety analysis experience.
• Emergency-response experience and current First Aid/CPR certification; workers’ compensation case management experience.

Working arrangements

The role involves lifting up to 49 pounds, frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending and reaching, standing or walking for shifts up to 12 hours, and stairs where present. Noise, temperature and weather conditions vary, including outdoor loading areas. Flexible days, nights and weekend shifts are required. Support emergency response and care; obtain adult First Aid, CPR and AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within three weeks of starting if not already certified.

Compensation and benefits

USD 28.94–33.41 per hour.
