Environment, Climate & Regulatory Engineer - Associate

Role overview

Support site environmental compliance through regulatory analysis, maintained compliance systems and internal/external reporting. Responsibilities vary with experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise on environmental obligations and cost-effective solutions.
• Manage daily environment, climate and regulatory programmes, OIMS practices, data and reporting, train operations personnel and share incident lessons.
• Support environmental planning, permits and impact assessments.
• Maintain compliance-assurance networks, identify nonconformances and support corrective actions.
• Monitor standards and regulatory developments, assist advocacy colleagues with rulemaking and interpretation.

Requirements

• Engineering bachelor’s degree, preferably Chemical or Environmental, and at least five years’ relevant environmental experience.
• Emissions-calculation knowledge, Singapore environmental/sustainability and carbon-tax expertise. Other countries’ regulatory knowledge is advantageous.
• Environmental-impact assessment, compliance and environmental-risk-management experience.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, communication, coordination and strong computer skills.
• Independent and collaborative working, prioritization in changing operations, attention to detail and sound business ethics.
