HSE Supervisor

Role overview

Support KBR’s five-year Kuwait Oil Company programme-management contract, controlling construction HSE risks and implementing KOC policies, management systems and project safety plans.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EPC contractor systems, Kuwait legislation and KOC requirements, advise managers and communicate regulatory changes.
• Inspect sites, promote safe practices, follow up safety observations and help plan hazard controls.
• Support subcontractor safety programmes, incident investigations and reporting.
• Deliver safety talks and training, distribute safety information, and monitor protective clothing and equipment.
• Maintain relationships with KOC, regulators and contractors.

Requirements

• Engineering diploma or B.Sc., normally ten years’ post-graduation experience, including five in oil and gas and five as an HSE Supervisor.
• Other eligible route: high school plus recognized IOSH/NEBOSH certification, fifteen years’ experience including seven as HSE personnel.
• Certified HSE training in industrial/construction safety, environmental management, industrial hygiene, ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 auditing, NEBOSH, IOSH, ASSE Global Safety Management or equivalent.
• Practical oil-and-gas or comparable construction hazard-control experience and familiarity with HSE reporting.
