Health & Safety Advisor

Role overview

Join Uniper’s HSSEQ team at Maasvlakte on a full-time, permanent, on-site basis. Report to the H&S Officer and support operations, maintenance, projects and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct plant safety rounds, challenge unsafe behaviour and advise on safe work preparation/execution.
• Identify hazards, intervene appropriately and instruct visitors.
• Improve and implement safety procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain gas-detector registration and condition, train users.
• Complete risk inventories and task risk analyses, incorporate safety into overhauls and projects.
• Investigate incidents/near misses, establish causes and solutions, and share lessons through toolbox talks and instructions.

Requirements

• Completed Middelbare Veiligheidskunde (MVK) qualification.
• Technical/industrial experience is preferred, including energy, chemicals or infrastructure.
• Practical, visible and proactive approach, responsibility and willingness to address unsafe behaviour.
• Clear communication, practical problem-solving and basic safety/health legal knowledge.
• Strong written/spoken Dutch and sufficient English.
• Openness to technology and continuous learning, including AI skills.
