HSE Manager

Role

Bureau Veritas seeks an HSE Manager for nationwide German data-centre construction projects. The listing names Hamburg. This is a 36-month contract, starting as soon as possible, providing on-site HSE leadership and legal/internal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-risk hazards and construction changes with designers and contractors.
• Join meetings, workshops, daily briefings and management reviews; deliver communication and training.
• Independently audit HSE systems, KPIs, HRA audits, training, RAMS and lifting plans; cross-review processes and improve them.
• Assess contractor safety resources; investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; implement corrective/preventive measures.
• Promote safety initiatives and structured recognition; report to clients and representatives; coordinate with the general contractor.

Requirements

• At least ten years in senior safety roles, ideally construction.
• Formal occupational-safety-management qualification, such as Occupational Safety Specialist or equivalent.
• Extensive construction HSE, RAMS, lifting-plan, HRA-audit and compliance knowledge; contractor/designer liaison experience.
• Fluent spoken/written German and English; strong communication/reporting and positive-safety-behaviour leadership.
