Assistant Manager, EHS - Construction

About the role

Support Universal Orlando construction and capital projects through contractor safety, design, delivery and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Review concepts, construction documents, facility conditions and design submissions with project teams and EHS specialists.
• Prequalify contractors; coordinate orientations, site access, insurance and safety expectations.
• Inspect and audit works, assess risks, verify regulatory compliance, document findings and track corrective actions.
• Support incident investigations and emerging issues; stop work for imminent hazards.
• Coordinate schedules, changes and high-risk activities; complete punch lists, turnover documentation, sign-off and lessons learned.
• Maintain management systems, performance measures and compliance records; follow EHS procedures and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• At least three years of EHS experience in construction, capital projects, contractor management or related operations.
• Experience with inspections, audits, plan reviews, investigations, risk assessment and contractor safety programs.
• Regulatory knowledge, business awareness, communication, teamwork, mentoring, planning, trend analysis, computer and presentation skills.
• Varied hours and days, predominantly fieldwork; reliable attendance.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree preferred: safety, occupational health, environmental science, construction management, engineering, industrial hygiene, public health or related discipline.
