Site EHS Manager III

Role overview

Lead Amazon's workplace health and safety program and partner with operations leaders to reduce risk, strengthen compliance and improve associate wellbeing. Use audits, incident data and risk assessments to guide decisions and build a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead WHS professionals and develop team performance.
• Apply Amazon safety policies and applicable federal, state and local requirements.
• Oversee incident investigations, risk assessments, emergency preparedness, records and training.
• Analyze performance data, conduct site reviews and drive improvement plans.
• Build partnerships with operations leaders and influence practical risk controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Five years of increasing responsibility in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production or service operations.
• Five years of increasing responsibility in people and performance management.

Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, CSP certification, large-site distribution or manufacturing safety experience, lean improvement experience, analytical skill and clear communication with site leaders. Work may require lifting 49 pounds, standing or walking 12 hours, stairs, variable noise and temperatures, and emergency support. First Aid, CPR and AED certification must be obtained within three weeks if not already held.
