Site EHS Manager III

Amazon is hiring a Site EHS Manager III to lead environmental, health and safety performance at its Memphis operation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site operations leaders to apply workplace health and safety policies and meet applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead site EHS programs, risk reduction, incident prevention, investigations, corrective actions, audits and continuous improvement.
• Use safety data and operational observations to identify hazards, set priorities and track performance.
• Coach leaders and employees, strengthen the site safety culture and manage EHS team performance.
• Support emergency preparedness and consistent implementation of Amazon safety standards in a fast-paced operation.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least five years of progressively responsible EHS or environmental program experience in manufacturing, production or service operations.
• At least five years of progressively responsible people and performance management experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Distribution-centre or manufacturing EHS experience in a workforce of at least 250 people.
• Master’s degree, Certified Safety Professional credential, lean or process-improvement experience and strong communication with site leadership.

This is an on-site, full-time position in Memphis, Tennessee.
