Principal Program Manager, WHS Strategy

Amazon is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead strategy for the Workplace Health and Safety organization. The role is based in Nashville, Tennessee, with additional listed locations in Arlington, Virginia, and Bellevue, Washington.

Responsibilities

• Own the one-to-three-year WHS strategic roadmap, annual operating plans and recurring executive reviews.
• Collect and synthesize inputs from WHS teams into clear executive narratives with consistent data and messaging.
• Partner with operations, engineering and technology teams to integrate health and safety priorities into business plans.
• Set governance for safety reporting and data-lock processes and improve how safety performance is visualized for decision-makers.
• Manage the enterprise planning calendar and coordinate a broad network of senior stakeholders.
• Translate complex technical and operational safety programs for executive and non-specialist audiences.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Communications, Supply Chain or a related field.
• At least five years of cross-functional project delivery and program or project management experience.
• At least seven years working across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience using data and metrics and communicating with senior leadership.

Preferred qualifications

• MBA, program-requirements experience, senior-results reporting, and increasing responsibility in EHS or environmental programs.

This is an in-office role requiring five days on site and approximately 10–20% annual travel.
