EHS Specialist

Amazon is seeking a full-time EHS Specialist for its Horn Lake, Mississippi operation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement workplace health and safety programs for the assigned building.
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections and safety observations; identify hazards and follow corrective actions through completion.
• Maintain safety records and metrics, support incident investigations and communicate trends to site leadership.
• Coach employees and managers on safe work practices, regulatory expectations and Amazon procedures.
• Support emergency response, training and continuous improvement while working flexibly across operational shifts.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One of the following: at least one year in an EHS-related field, a bachelor’s degree in an EHS-relevant discipline, or six months in an Amazon safety role.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Professional experience using Microsoft Word and Excel and handling confidential security or personnel matters.

The role is on site and may require flexible days, nights, weekends or holiday coverage according to operational needs.
