EHS Specialist

Amazon.com Services LLC is recruiting a full-time EHS Specialist in Doraville, Georgia, United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver site safety programs, perform daily audits and risk assessments, investigate incidents and track improvements intended to prevent injuries.
• Train and coach associates and managers, build relationships across the operation and encourage safe work habits.
• Use safety data to communicate risks, influence decisions and improve safety performance while supporting operational needs.
• Support emergency response and first aid arrangements at the assigned facility.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of three routes: at least one year in an EHS field; a degree in an EHS-relevant subject; or six months performing a safety role within Amazon.
• Working knowledge of OSHA general industry requirements, including 29 CFR 1910.
• Professional use of Word and Excel, with experience safeguarding private workplace and personnel information.

Preferred qualifications

• A safety-related degree or higher qualification.
• Communication, teamwork, analytical judgment and customer service skills.
• Experience supervising people, reviewing incident trends, assessing equipment and processes, and completing job hazard analyses.
• Emergency response experience, first aid/CPR credentials and workers compensation case management experience.

Working conditions

The work involves flexible shifts, potentially including nights, weekends and holidays; lifting up to 49 lb, frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending and reaching, and standing or walking for shifts up to 12 hours. Noise, weather and temperatures may vary, and sites with stairs require repeated stair use. Applicants without adult first aid, CPR and AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross must gain it within three weeks of starting.

Pay and benefits

The employer lists USD 28.94–33.41 per hour. Final compensation depends on experience, qualifications and location. The employer also describes sign-on payments, restricted stock units and benefits.
