Onsite Medical Representative

Amazon.com Services LLC is recruiting a full-time Onsite Medical Representative in Kansas City, Kansas, United States.

Responsibilities

• Assess employee needs, provide first aid and refer people to external medical services when needed.
• Promote injury prevention through floor engagement, education and coaching on unsafe work habits.
• Document care, prepare activity and shift reports, and support workers compensation and return-to-work arrangements.
• Manage medical supply stock and a clean treatment area; support emergency response and the site safety team.
• Participate in training to deliver first aid, CPR and AED classes, maintain relevant credentials and assist with saliva drug testing procedures.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by an approved emergency cardiac care provider.
• Also hold either a valid EMT or paramedic credential from the health department or NREMT, or an active athletic trainer credential from the BOC or relevant state authority.
• Obtain adult first aid, CPR and AED certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within three weeks of starting if not already held.

Preferred qualifications

• First aid, CPR and AED instructor credentials; proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic records.
• Experience in industrial wellness, musculoskeletal injury management, ergonomics and coaching on body mechanics.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements and workers compensation processes.
• Recent military medical experience is preferred, including six months in the last year as an Army medic, Navy corpsman or Air Force medical service technician.

Working conditions

The work involves flexible shifts, potentially including nights, weekends and holidays; lifting up to 49 lb, frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending and reaching, and standing or walking for shifts up to 12 hours. Noise, weather and temperatures may vary, and sites with stairs require repeated stair use.

Pay and benefits

The employer lists USD 27.01–31.05 per hour. Final compensation depends on experience, qualifications and location. The employer also describes sign-on payments, restricted stock units and benefits.
