Onsite Medical Representative

Amazon’s Workplace Health and Safety team is seeking an Onsite Medical Representative for its Fontana, California operation.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess injuries and illnesses, provide first aid and arrange outside medical referrals when required.
• Support injury prevention through employee education, safety-floor engagement, ergonomic coaching and health and wellness advocacy.
• Maintain records of care, daily activity and end-of-shift reports, treatment-space cleanliness and medical inventory.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work activities and assist emergency response.
• Participate in safety committee and case management reviews and help deliver first aid, CPR and AED training.
• Work flexible shifts and meet physical requirements including lifting up to 49 pounds, prolonged standing, bending, reaching and stair use.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support certification from an approved emergency cardiac care provider.
• Current EMT or Paramedic certification, or current Athletic Trainer certification through the Board of Certification or an equivalent state authority.

Preferred qualifications

• First aid, CPR and AED instructor certification, Microsoft Office skills, industrial wellness or ergonomics experience, OSHA and workers’ compensation knowledge and digital recordkeeping proficiency.
