Onsite Medical Representative

Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC is recruiting a full-time Onsite Medical Representative in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada.

Responsibilities

• Assess employee needs, provide first aid and refer people to external medical services when needed.
• Promote injury prevention through floor engagement, education and coaching on unsafe work habits.
• Document care, prepare activity and shift reports, and support workers compensation and return-to-work arrangements.
• Manage medical supply stock and a clean treatment area; support emergency response and the site safety team.
• Participate in training to deliver first aid, CPR and AED classes, maintain relevant credentials and assist with saliva drug testing procedures.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A current standard first aid card with CPR/AED level A or C from a WSIB-approved certification body.
• Also hold either a valid provincial Primary Care Paramedic qualification from the Ministry of Health and/or Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators, or RPN/RN registration with the applicable health ministry, provincial nursing college or health department.

Preferred qualifications

• First aid, CPR and AED instructor credentials; proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic records.
• Experience in industrial wellness, musculoskeletal injury management, ergonomics and coaching on body mechanics.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements and workers compensation processes.
• Canadian Armed Forces medic experience; Canadian Red Cross instructor certification is preferred.

Working conditions

The work involves flexible shifts, potentially including nights, weekends and holidays; lifting up to 49 lb, frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending and reaching, and standing or walking for shifts up to 12 hours. Noise, weather and temperatures may vary, and sites with stairs require repeated stair use.

Pay and benefits
