Safety Coordinator, RAD WHS

Role overview

Provide floor-based safety support for Amazon warehouse shifts in Antioch, including risk assessments, first aid, incident records, waste compliance and training. Work closely with the Safety Manager, associates and Operations leaders in a fast-moving warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Monitor company safety compliance and maintain daily prevention records; conduct task risk and ergonomic assessments and improve standard work.
• Provide immediate assistance, first aid and triage; maintain injury/illness cases, workers’ compensation intake, return-to-work and accommodation tracking, and reconciled injury records.
• Inspect and label regulated-waste accumulation areas; prepare RCRA/DOT-compliant shipments and manifests; coordinate batteries, oils and coolants with maintenance.
• Support spill response, spill-kit checks and stormwater best-management-practice inspections.
• Investigate incidents with Operations, complete root-cause reports and verify corrective actions; coordinate with emergency services and OSHA when needed.
• Observe working conditions and behaviors, inspect fire/safety equipment, verify permit-to-work and contractor PPE/work-area compliance.
• Deliver associate and manager inductions, pre-shift briefings and assigned CPR/first-aid or power-equipment training.
• Participate in 5S/Kaizen, maintain safety data sheets and chemical inventory, and manage PPE stocks and fit testing.

Required qualifications

• High school qualification or equivalent.
• Availability for flexible shifts/work areas, weekends, nights and holidays; 40 hours per week and overtime as required.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.

Preferred qualifications

• Two or more years using Microsoft Office products and applications.
• Experience with environmental regulations and technical understanding of waste management.

Pay and benefits

The stated starting range of USD 24.25–26.50 hourly includes the highest available shift differential and is not represented as base salary here. Final pay varies with shift and location; overtime may add earnings. Day-one benefits listed include EAP, mental health support, medical advice and 401(k) matching.
