Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement workplace safety and health programmes at project sites.
• Inspect sites for unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and other hazards.
• Monitor work against the WSH Act, Ministry of Manpower rules, codes of practice and company procedures.
• Prepare and update risk assessments, safe work procedures, method statements and permit-to-work documents.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, inductions and briefings for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, prepare reports and follow through on corrective and preventive action.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors and clients.
• Maintain inspection reports, statutory registers and WSH records.
• Support emergency plans and drills and promote continuous safety improvement.

Requirements

• Valid WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH with a current refresher certificate.
• At least two years of construction safety experience.
• Knowledge of Singapore construction safety and Ministry of Manpower requirements.
• Ability to work independently and with a team and to start immediately or on short notice.
