Safety Engineering Manager, AWS Health & Safety

AWS is hiring a Safety Engineering Manager in Austin to lead its Health and Safety Engineering team and safety laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Set team strategy and manage, mentor and develop safety engineers.
• Oversee global engineering projects, technical writing, programme maintenance, tools and continuous improvement.
• Define requirements in ambiguity and communicate with technical, non-technical and executive audiences.
• Support risk-management and compliance systems, standards, audits, metrics and training.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health and safety or a related field.
• Three years each of technical programme management and people management.
• Experience communicating with executives or clients.

Preferred and pay

Data-centre knowledge, cross-functional project work, a master's degree, CSP or CMSE are preferred. Annual base pay is USD 163,600–221,300.
