About This Quiz
Revise practical construction safety with 25 original multiple-choice questions covering site induction, occupational health, safe access, plant movements, excavation hazards and emergency response. The scenarios focus on the decisions an operative may face when conditions change or a control is missing.
Scope and independence
Independent, shortened practice material from HSEBlog. It is not an official CITB test and is not affiliated with or endorsed by CITB or CSCS. No official question bank is reproduced. The official CITB Operatives HS&E test currently has 50 questions, lasts 45 minutes and requires 45 correct answers. This 25-question, untimed learning quiz uses a 70% learning threshold and does not simulate the official test, establish card eligibility or demonstrate practical competence. Safety guidance is framed for Great Britain; check local rules if working elsewhere.
What you will practise
Before attempting the quiz, review current official CITB revision resources and your site's induction. Consider why a general site card cannot replace task-specific training. Look for answers that control the hazard, protect other trades and escalate defects through the site's arrangements.
How to use this quiz
Answer all 25 multiple-choice questions, selecting one answer for each. There is no time limit. The learning pass mark is 70%, answers are shuffled and retakes are allowed. Read the explanations after submission, identify the topics you missed and review them before another attempt. A practice score does not establish workplace competence.
