Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Role overview

Emerson is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead the EHS program at its Boulder, Colorado operation. The manager will provide strategic direction, maintain compliance and work with leaders and employees to reduce operational risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the site EHS strategy, objectives, metrics and improvement plans.
• Maintain compliance with applicable environmental and occupational-safety requirements.
• Guide risk assessments, inspections, audits and corrective-action programs.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigation and prevention activities.
• Partner with operations and engineering on change, capital projects and risk controls.
• Develop employee engagement, training and leadership accountability.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and relationships with relevant authorities.

Mandatory qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, science or a related discipline.
• At least eight years of relevant EHS experience.
• Experience leading site programs and influencing senior operational stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and practical risk-management methods.

Pay and work arrangement

Emerson lists a base salary range of USD 125,000 to USD 177,000 per year. This is a full-time, on-site role in Boulder, Colorado.
