Health and Safety Coordinator

Role overview

Toromont Cat is hiring a Health and Safety Coordinator in Concord, Ontario. The coordinator provides administrative, program and systems support for safety training, PPE, workplace testing and contractor-management activities.

Key responsibilities

• Administer safety training and maintain certificates, assignments and records.
• Respond to employee questions about training, PPE and safety programs.
• Support PPE, personal-safety-device and workplace-testing programs.
• Maintain contractor qualification records and follow up outstanding requirements.
• Review incident documentation and keep program information current.
• Update guides, forms and employee-facing safety content.
• Coordinate with operations, human resources, vendors and branch locations.

Mandatory qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in occupational health and safety, human resources, business administration or a related discipline.
• At least two years of relevant health and safety, training, HR or administrative-support experience.
• Experience maintaining training records in a learning-management system.
• Strong Microsoft Office, SharePoint and organisational skills.
• Bilingual French and English communication capability.
