Role overview

An undisclosed global industrial-gas company is hiring through Worldwide Technical Services (WTS Energy) for an initial 12-month contract based at semiconductor operations in Tampines. The role supports site leaders in meeting statutory health, safety, environmental, fire-safety and security duties, with potential development toward a regional HSE lead remit.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regulatory and workplace audits and implement company HSE programmes.
• Establish procedures aligned with Singapore regulations and group requirements; implement and maintain ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and SS 651 systems.
• Support annual Major Hazard Department follow-up on Intervention and Revision Plans.
• Review risk assessments, method statements and safe-work procedures for high-risk work.
• Deliver HSE and integrated-management-system training, coaching and qualification activities.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis; organize HSE meetings and improvement programmes.
• Coordinate emergency drills and response equipment, strengthen security controls and monitor local developments that may affect operations.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Registration as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower.
• At least three years of relevant experience, strong safety-management capability and detailed knowledge of Singapore HSE requirements.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and the Globally Harmonized System.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations, lead stakeholders and motivate others.
