Onsite Medical Representative

Role overview

Support the health and wellbeing of Amazon associates at the Pooler site. Work with the WHS team, independently assess and provide first aid, support safety operations, advise associates on occupational and non-occupational injuries or illness, and refer care to outside providers when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to workplace injuries and illnesses and provide first aid within the role's scope.
• Maintain treatment records and support OSHA case management, risk analysis and incident review.
• Participate in safety meetings, new-hire engagement and case reviews.
• Promote health, wellness and ergonomics and support emergency response.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support certification from an approved provider.
• Current EMT or paramedic certification, or active Athletic Trainer certification through the BOC or equivalent state body.
• Ability to work flexible day, night or weekend shifts.

Work may require lifting 49 pounds, standing or walking 12 hours, stairs, and variable noise, temperature and weather. Preferred experience includes first aid, workplace health, case management, ergonomics and communication with employees and healthcare providers.
