Onsite Medical Representative

Role overview

The Onsite Medical Representative supports associate health and safety, independently assesses and administers first aid, provides guidance on occupational and non-occupational conditions, supports site safety operations and refers care when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first aid, emergency support and appropriate medical referrals.
• Reduce injury risk through awareness, education, coaching and proactive engagement.
• Maintain care records, daily logs, shift reports, medical supplies and a clean clinical area.
• Coordinate workers compensation and return-to-work programs for work-related injuries.
• Attend safety committee and case-review meetings and engage new hires.
• Maintain First Aid, CPR and AED credentials, support certification training, and assist with random saliva drug-testing protocols.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support certification from an approved emergency cardiac care provider.
• Current EMT or paramedic certification through a Department of Health or NREMT, or active Athletic Trainer certification through BOC or an equivalent state body.
• Adult First Aid, CPR and AED certification must be obtained within three weeks of starting if not already held.

Working conditions

Flexible day, night, holiday or weekend shifts may apply. The job may require lifting up to 49 pounds, frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending and reaching, standing or walking up to 12 hours, stairs, and variable noise, temperatures and weather.

Preferred background

Preferred qualifications include First Aid, CPR and AED instructor status, Microsoft Office skills, industrial-wellness and ergonomics experience, OSHA and workers compensation experience, digital recordkeeping, or recent qualifying military-medic experience.
