Onsite Medical Representative

Role overview

Join Amazon’s onsite WHS team in Las Vegas to provide first aid, support associate wellbeing and help prevent workplace injuries. Collaborate with the WHS manager, safety specialists and injury-prevention colleagues, including safety committee and case-review meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assess occupational and non-occupational injuries or illness, administer first aid and refer associates to external medical providers when needed.
• Educate associates about injury prevention and coach safer work habits on the operations floor.
• Maintain care records, daily activity logs and shift reports, coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for work-related injuries.
• Maintain a clean care area and adequate medical supplies, assist with random saliva drug-testing protocols.
• Maintain clinical credentials and participate in training to facilitate First Aid, CPR and AED classes.
• Support site emergency response and the wider safety team.

Mandatory qualifications

• High school qualification or equivalent diploma.
• Current Basic Life Support certification from an approved emergency cardiac care provider.
• One of: valid EMT or Paramedic certification from the Department of Health or NREMT, OR active Athletic Trainer certification from the Board of Certification or equivalent state authority.

Preferred qualifications

• Authorization to teach American Heart Association or American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses.
• Microsoft Office and digital recordkeeping proficiency.
• Industrial wellness, musculoskeletal-disorder management, ergonomics and body-mechanics coaching experience.
• Work experience involving OSHA rules and workers’ compensation.
• Six months of relevant military medical experience within the last year, including the Army combat/field medic or healthcare specialist, Navy Hospital Corpsman or Air Force Aerospace Medical Service Technician roles.

Work arrangements and physical requirements

Full-time, onsite in Las Vegas, Nevada. Flexible shifts may include days, nights, holidays and weekends. The work involves lifting up to 49 pounds, frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending and reaching, standing or walking for up to 12 hours, variable noise, temperatures and weather, including outdoor loading areas, and repeated stair use where applicable. Support emergency response and effective emergency care. Obtain American Heart Association or American Red Cross adult First Aid, CPR and AED certification within three weeks of starting if not already held.

Pay and benefits

USD 27.01–31.05 per hour. Amazon states that the package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units, with final compensation based on experience, qualifications and location.
