PMC Senior Site HSE Engineer

Role overview

Wood is hiring a PMC Senior Site HSE Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead and continuously improve site HSE programs during construction, commissioning, start-up and project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Implement project HSE plans, procedures, risk assessments and safe-work practices.
• Lead site inspections, audits, safety tours and incident investigations.
• Review PTW, JSA, method statements and risk assessments for high-risk work.
• Monitor contractors, conduct training and coordinate emergency-response drills.
• Track KPIs, close audit findings and report performance to project leadership and the client.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, environmental science or a related field.
• Typically 15 or more years of HSE experience, with substantial site work in oil and gas, petrochemicals, LNG, refining, power or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, PTW, JSA, HAZID and contractor management.
• Demonstrated leadership across construction, commissioning, start-up and maintenance projects.
