Safety Manager – Bridges and Infrastructure

Role overview

AECOM is seeking a Safety Manager for major bridge and infrastructure work in Abu Dhabi. The manager will develop and oversee project safety programs and collaborate with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to maintain compliance and strong site performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures and project protocols.
• Conduct hazard assessments and risk reviews across active project sites.
• Investigate incidents and near misses and follow corrective and preventive actions.
• Complete site inspections and audits of equipment and work practices.
• Deliver safety training and orientation for project personnel and contractors.
• Maintain records and reports in line with UAE and project requirements.
• Support emergency-response planning and monitor performance indicators.
• Communicate requirements to management, workers and relevant authorities.

Mandatory qualifications

• At least fifteen years of professional safety-management experience in construction or infrastructure.
• Demonstrated occupational health and safety compliance expertise.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction-safety requirements and recognised good practice.
• Experience with incident investigation, root-cause methods and hazard assessment.
• Previous infrastructure-project experience.

Work arrangement

This is a full-time, on-site position in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
