Senior Health and Safety Adviser

Role overview

The University of Edinburgh is recruiting a Senior Health and Safety Adviser for its Health, Safety and Wellbeing Department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of three delivering audit and training programmes.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and support practical improvements.
• Provide researched specialist advice across the university.
• Support around 60 local health and safety coordinators and advisers through updates and shared good practice.

Working arrangement

This is an open-ended full-time post of 35 hours per week. Hybrid working may be considered, with at least two days per week on campus and more when business needs require it.
