Role overview

Amazon is hiring a Site EHS Manager II to lead the site Workplace Health and Safety program in Castleton, New York. The manager partners with operations leaders to apply company safety policies, comply with legal requirements and reduce workplace and ergonomic risks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of Amazon WHS policies and site safety programs.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, incident reviews and trend analysis.
• Maintain compliant records and accurate safety metrics.
• Coach operations leaders and develop site safety professionals.
• Drive corrective actions and continuous-improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or qualifying Amazon experience accepted by the employer.
• At least three years of increasing responsibility in workplace safety or environmental programs.
• People and performance-management experience.
• Ability to support site operations across varying shifts when required.
