Onsite Medical Representative

Amazon.com Services LLC is recruiting a full-time Onsite Medical Representative in Indianapolis. The position works with Workplace Health and Safety to provide first aid, support injury prevention and promote employee wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assess occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses, provide first aid and refer employees to outside medical providers when needed.
• Maintain care records, daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports, and coordinate workers compensation and return-to-work activity.
• Coach employees and leaders on at-risk work habits, support safety operations, committee or case-review meetings, and emergencies.
• Maintain the treatment area and medical inventory, support random saliva drug-testing protocols, and keep First Aid, CPR and AED credentials current.
• Participate in training and certification needed to facilitate First Aid, CPR and AED classes.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support certification from an approved emergency cardiac-care provider.
• Also hold either a current EMT or paramedic certification from a state health department or NREMT, or a current Athletic Trainer certification from the BOC or equivalent state body.

Preferred qualifications

• First Aid, CPR and AED instructor certification plus Microsoft Office and digital-recordkeeping skills.
• Industrial wellness, musculoskeletal-disorder, ergonomics, OSHA and workers compensation experience.
• Recent qualifying military medical experience described by the employer is preferred.

Working conditions and benefits

Flexible days, nights, holidays and weekends may be required. Work can include lifting up to 49 lb, standing or walking for up to 12 hours, variable noise and temperatures, outside loading areas and repeated stair use. An approved adult First Aid, CPR and AED credential must be obtained within three weeks if not already held. The employer lists USD 27.01 – 31.05 per hour.
